I must be nuts! I left my doctor's office in the middle of the afternoon and saw a big "green" area of a teaching hospital in the middle of the city with guys playing Frisbee, students sitting on the grass everywhere and others playing basketball. I thought, man with this great sunny warm weather. It was like spring. I just had to streak. I scoped the rout and found a place to disrobe and leave my clothes safely. I waited for just the right moment when there were no people on the side walk along the street and stripped. I ran out among all the med-students and yelled "It's Spring, It's Spring!" I followed my planned rout and some girl yelled "A naked man!" Others laughed and others clapped. I thought it was all just good fun and i could not believe i had just run naked and barefoot though a large group of med-students in broad daylight.
I dressed quickly and dashed around the corner and down the street, but i just walked and then a block away i was captured by hospital security officers. I was pushed up against a wall on the sidewalk and handcuffed. The one officer who handcuffed me was a bit gruff. They led me into a building and down some stairs to a interrogation room. They emptied out all my pockets and checked my ID. I was still handcuffed. They took several photos of me front and profile. Finally they made me promise to never come back on the property of the hospital again and let me off with a warning. I had to sign a paper to that affect. - Thank God they were not the City police.
I'll never try that again. I learned one really important lesson. If you are on private property with security. When you leave, run and get as far away from their property as fast as possible.
All and all it was worth it, i think. Dozens of students and maybe some people on the streets surrounding the green area saw me streak and it was perceived as a "STREAK" too. I still can't believe i did it.
