I live in a neighborhood with a curbside locking mailbox that serves about a dozen houses. There is a mailbox in front of my house in the court. The distance is about 50 feet from my front door to the mailboxes.
There is also a street light in front of my house, which seems to be having some issues of turning on and off during the night. Even if off, there is another street light and house lights on.
I woke up at 6am on cold and dry Saturday morning and it was still dark out. I had some outgoing mail and decided to walk naked and barefoot out to the mailbox. I noticed the street light was on and decided to wait a few minutes to see if it would shut off. It finally shut off and I walked out naked with mail in hand to the mailbox. The houses in the court looked "asleep" and there was still plenty of light even with the street light out. I put the mail in the outgoing slot and walked back to the house, picking up the paper before going inside.
I have done this naked walk to the maailbox a few times over the years and always fun and un-nerving!
Naked rain or shine...
